Tote Bags – Top 7 Uses for Handheld Bags

Tote bags are more than just glorified purses. They can be used for a variety of purposes, simply because they are roomy and sturdy. Add to that the strong handles, and the bags are convenient for dozens of applications. Here are the top 7 uses for tote bags.

1. Tote bags can be used as beach bags. You can carry your towel, sun block, sunglasses, and snacks inside their roomy interiors. Some tote bags have a water resistant lining, which makes them all the more appropriate for beach use.

2. Handheld totes can be used for library bags. It is a good idea to go to the library and check out books rather than buying them. You can save yourself money, read a larger variety of materials, and keep your home from being overcrowded with books. However, it can be difficult to carry a large armful of books to your car or to your home. A tote bag will help you do the job.

3. Grocery bags are one use for them. Paper ones use up natural resources to make, and plastic ones are destructive to the environment. A handheld fabric one, on the other hand, can be reused over and over without harm to the environment at all.

4. They make nice overnighters. If you do not want to carry luggage for a short, overnight stay at a friend’s house, a cloth bag will do the trick quite nicely. It will be pliable to hold several items, such as your nightgown and your next day’s clothing. Many tote bags have pockets and compartments which you might use for your personal hygiene products.

5. A makeshift diaper bag can be put together in a fabric handheld bag. You could want to use a tote bag for a diaper bag if you need something smaller to carry than usual. You can throw in a few diapers, a change of clothing, a bottle and formula.

6. You can use it for crafts. Crochet is a perfect example. You can put in some yarn, crochet hooks, and an instruction book, if you need it. Then, it is easy to carry the fabric bag with you wherever you will have a chance to work on your crafts.

7. Use it as a toy bag for young children. When you are traveling or visiting someone who does not have any children, your young children might get bored and cranky without toys. You can pack a tote with coloring books and crayons, toy cars, or small dolls.
