Why You Should Buy A Baby Sling
The benefits of using a baby sling are being recognized by the parenting communities and are recommended by groups everywhere. The advantages include the emotional comfort that the baby receives by being held close to their parent, physically they take away the strain of just carrying your baby in your arms, and using a baby sling offers great convenience especially when in busy streets or shopping areas.
Developing a a special lasting bond with their new baby is a desire that many parents have. The wish to do so is made easier with a baby sling because holding your baby close on a regular basis allows your baby to develop a sense of security and emotional comfort and the parent also reaps the benefit of this closeness. Having your baby held close to you allows them to sense and hear your breathing, voice and heart beat which is very comforting and reassuring for them. The physical benefits of carrying your baby in a baby sling are primarily the relief of the weight of your baby on your arms. Well padded and adjustable slings help take pressure off your arms and disperse the weight more comfortably onto your shoulders. Other physical benefits include less exposure to car emissions as your baby is in a higher position compared to being in a pram. If you regularly attend a park or public area and are concerned about the possibility of un-friendly dogs, the elevated position will keep your baby out of harms way. Lastly, your baby’s body temperature is also controlled when held close to your own body.
As many mothers have discovered, many public places are not pram friendly and they have a difficult time navigating their prams through doors, over kerbs and in busy shopping areas. Using a baby sling when you are out and about enables you to easily manoeuvre around town when out on errands. Another benefit of a sling is that it allows the wearer to have one, if not two, hands free so they can continue doing tasks either at home or when shopping.
