Swaddling Blanket

Can a baby wear a swaddle blanket in the summer months?
I bought a swaddle blanket online and I just got it in the mail yesterday. I bought it because I heard it was good for a baby. Its made out of a fleece fabric. I am due to have my baby in July, and am wondering if he will be able to use it, or if it will be too warm?
It just depends on how warm it is where you live. It’s usually recommended to keep your newborn ONE layer warmer than you would normally dress, so if you are wearing long sleeves, cotton clothes, than fleece would be the ‘next warmer layer’. If you are in t-shirts and shorts, the fleece will probably be too hot. Just think of it as: If I wore that, would I be…
a) a bit too warm… (perfect for new baby)
b) uncomfortably warm…
c) sweating hot!
You just always want to check their clothes with that guideline.
My daughter was born in August, in Texas (HOT weather). I did swaddle her in light flannel blankets, but underneath she just wore a onesie and socks, so she wouldnt’ be too hot.
