Station Wall

Why doesn’t the radio station come in when the radio is plugged in?
I have an Altec Lansing docking station with FM tuner on it. When i plug it into the outlet certain radio stations do not come in. When i unplug the radio from the wall the radio stations come in!?! THis makes no sense….any ideas?? House is built in 1931 does that have anything to do with it? The main station is a local independent station – does that make a difference?
Due to their switching nature, almost all battery chargers produce spurious RF energy when working.
The charger in your docking station is producing energy on the same frequencies as some of your radio stations.
Since your radio is right next to the charger even weak energy from it will overpower some stations.
You could return it and get a new one as it is near impossible to fix, but if you’re out of warranty you’ll have to live with it.
