just had my first white husky born to our breeder dogs it is solid white wanted info on white husky thanks?
it also has our first snownose. definitely the first solid white one we have and i would like to get feedback on the rarity of the color. puppy born the middle wk of june.any info appreciated
White is not a “rare” color in Siberians — especially those from backyard bred lines. BYBs breed for the color (because it sells), and it ends up behind a lot of carelessly bred dogs.
Snownose is a lack of pigment, and is not desirable. However, since your puppy is only 4-5 weeks old, the nose may fill in; however, in white dogs, liver and incomplete pigment are more common than black pigment.
This puppy is no more or less special than the rest of the litter. I assume you’re not pricing your puppies based on color, anyway — but rather charging a single price based on the quality of the pedigree and the health clearances of the parents (in other words, responsibly).
