Who else uses soap-nuts?

Two weeks ago, we went to the Eco-Dojo and bought a big bag of Indian soap-nuts. We have been doing all our laundry with them since by placing a hessian bag containing a few nuts in the washing machine with each load. Our clothes etc are as good as ever using this natural product and the nuts can be composted after two or three uses. The bag is still almost full – indicating a huge saving compared to soap powder etc.

never heard of soap nuts… i like to use vinegar and lemon juice… sometimes i add baking soda for tough stains… i prefer to use these 3 things for most of my household cleaning
