Sizing Hotslings: Size 3, 4, or What?

If you’ve ever looked at Hotslings, Size 3 and 4 seem to be the most popular . . . but why?

Hotslings are baby slings that are designed to cradle your infant in perfect comfort and safety. But if you get the wrong size, you won’t be comfy and neither will your baby. That’s why it is so important to choose the right size.

So, how do you know if you’re Hotslings Size 3 (the most popular size)? Here’s how to measure.

First get a soft measuring tape. If you don’t have one, you can use a piece of string and then measure it against a ruler. Measure the length between the top of your hip and your shoulder. It should be 20 something inches.

Now, if you are still pregnant, this poses a problem . . . you can measure your back. Just be aware that if you are big chested, you may need to bump up a size. The sizes start at 1, which is for women with a 22″ measurement. For each inch, you add a size. So, if you are 23″, you need size 2, 24″, size 3, etc.

Hotslings Size 3 is the most popular size because it is for the “average” woman . . . if there is such a thing. However, these slings are designed to carry your baby quite high up, which is fine early on, but you might want to look at a slightly larger size if you want your baby to rest a little further down, over your hips, for example. Older children will need larger sizes, too.

Whether you are Hotslings size 3 or size 7, you’ll find that these slings are very comfortable for you and for your baby. They allow for more freedom of movement and your little one will be snuggled in close all the time.
