How safe is to allow dust or germs get in your thighs?

I wear miniskirts at home when it’s too hot in the summer and don’t bother adjust the back hem of my skirt when I sit down. It makes my bum exposed and directly in touch with any surface or chair I sit on. I wear panties as a safety measure for sitting like that but I need to know if it is safe to sit like that or not to wear panties and sit like that…it’s because it gets tiring having to remember to smooth out the back of my skirt when sitting all the day.
