we had a break in in our apartment yesterday and would like to put in an alarm system, but our landlord won’t allow it.
Is there any kind of sensor that can be attached to the wall to detect door movement/ opening, and that will emit a shrill sound?

I live in an apt, and I have bells hanging off the doorknob. Simple, cheap, attractive and effective.
