Safety Panda

what has happened to the panda bears in the China earthquate zone?
are they safe? if so, who is caring for them. If they are injured, have they been moved to safety? Would like this information for a school report that my grandaughter is doing on panda bears asap. Thank you
the earthquake was pretty major so while panda bears may not have been crushed under buildings (except the ones in zoos), they may have been crushed by falling trees if they live in a dense jungle. i really hope this doesnt significantly impact on their numbers, their extinction would be really devastating. but i dont think anyone over there is really thinking much about the pandas right now, while entire cities have been wiped out and tens (possible hundreds) of thousands of people are dead and the rest have lost everything.
