is it safe to wake baby during the nite, she recently had jaundice and advised to wake every 3 hours to feed?
My baby has recently been treated for jaundice, she is 2 weeks old. i have been advised to wake her to feed every 3 hours but dont like to wake her, although she will normally wake herself. is it safe to leave her to wake?
Yes, it is safe to wake her to feed. In fact, you NEED to wake her every 3 hours as directed by your doctor.
Wait until she has her next appointment, to see if the jaundice has improved before letting her sleep (though I understand how you’d like her to sleep so you can get more sleep yourself…)
