Because these jeans are a bootleg/semi-flared cut, you would want to wear a fitted top to avoid looking too ‘flared’ or like a parachute.
For example, if you wore a babydoll-style top with these semi-flare jeans, you would conceal the shape of your body, which may make you appear ‘bigger’ because the jeans and loose top arnt accentuating any part of your body.
A babydoll style top would look better with skinny jeans, because the skinny jeans are the one item of clothing you’re already wearing thats defining a shape of your body–the legs.
Again, if you wore a well fitted top with skinny jeans, your body shape would be greatly emphasised, which may not be a good thing depending on your figure.
Overall–combine bigger style pants with well fitted tops, and combine well fitted pants with looser style tops
