How to program a camera to monitor the eye?
i want to know how can we program a camera to monitor the eye to detect if the eye is closed or not , how can this be done and which device should i use to program it !
What you need is a camera connected to a computer. If you’re looking for someone holding their eye closed, any cheap web cam should do. If you’re trying to count the number of times per minute they blink, there might not be a camera fast enough. Then you need software. Either motion detection software or pattern recognition software. For motion detection, I’ve had good luck with Stealth Big Brother. I don’t know of any pattern recognition software, but you’d use it to find the cocentric circles (pupil and iris). It sounds like a fun project.
