How can you bench without a bench or the rack?
I can’t afford a bench rack and I just wanna bench to build muscle. Im going to buy a bar and some weight plates. I remember seeing a video on how to do it, but now i cant find it. Everybody. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ok, i guess the first person can’t read. I CAN’T AFFORD A BENCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t have a job and I only have $125 to spend. Also, can you tell me how to squat without a rack?
Do pushups with your feet elevated (that adds to the weight toward the front of your body, making it like you are “benching” more).
Or you can go hardcore and do pushups with a weighted backpack on. I stick 2 20 pound dumbells in a backpack and it hurts like hell. You can use something like a 5-gallon drinking water jug. Every gallon equals 8 pounds, so a full jug will be 40. If you can graduate from that then you can start filling the sucker up with sand.
I have a bench but I still prefer the weighted backpack. I don’t have a spotter to pull off a barbell from my chest if I can’t get it off. The backpack is safer, because if I can’t push up anymore I just roll over. It’s better than having a 250 pound barbell crushing my ribs!! Seriously, the backpack is the most badass way to simulate bench press, and far, far safer.
