how do you make lime green duller ?
I have a lime green paint and i want to make it a little duller how do i do that ?
I guessing that your lime green is too bright of a color and you want to tone it down? Here’s how:
Bring your paint to the paint store (make sure you have enough to finish the job) Ask the paint attendant to add red oxide colorant to it to tone down the green-start with the smallest amount and have them to dry a sample of the original color and new color on a piece of paper so you could see the difference) add more colorant if needed, its important to add colorant gradually, there is no point of return if too much is added.
If the green is too yellow, use purple colorant
green too blue, use orange
White does not tone down the color just lightens it and it will take alot of white to make a difference.
They may charge you a fee (nominal) for doing this but its alot cheaper that buying a new gallon.
