Lights Monitor

I put together my own computer, it turns on, the lights work, but the monitor wont display?
I put together my own computer today, a c51gm-m motherboard, a amd 64X2 3800+ processor, 1gb of ram etc and it turns on, the lights work, but the monitor will not display…i rewired everything and that seems to be fine…what is the issue?
im not sure if its booting correctly or not…there are no beeps except for when i plug in the additional 12v power connector
the monitor jus cam off another working computer…i know thats not the problem…
the beeps are continuous about 1 every second and a half or so
the hard drive light stays on…it doesnt go off..
the video card is integrated on the motherboard…i dont have access to another video card…but i would like to try that…
Check the video card and the connecting cable. ~
Try the monitor on another computer to check it’s working.
