Lamb Blanket

Why does my dog “bury” her bone?
I have a 10 month old yorkie/silkie mix puppy. When I have her a lambs ear rawhide small, round chewie, she immediately runs to her blanket and noses the blanket until the bone is completely covered. It’s hilarious to watch this. She leaves it there and as far as I know never goes back to it. When she was younger, she use to chew these. Now she just “buries” them. Any idea why? Thanks for your time and help.

Your dog sounds like mine. Luckily my dog doesn’t take what I give her and spread it all over the house. It’s always in the same spot. Maybe the one answer is right, she knows it entertains you. I get a big laugh from my dog when she does it. I always thought dogs burying their bones was just a story, but now I believe it. Sorry I don’t have a better answer than that!
