Green Blanket

Should the U.S. on the green army blanket be up or down?
Which way should it be for sleeping and then the other way is for a deceased soldier? Thank you
Maybe I wasn’t clear, when I say ‘up’ or ‘down’ I mean is the U.S. visible or is it face down on the other side.
Man, I have quite a variety of responses, people saying different things. Could someone please reference a regulation so I can know, I would appreciate it greatly.
The U.S. is down, as in you can’t see it, under the covers. And the U.S. is visible when the occupant is dead.
Though the was when I was in AF basic and it’s can be different for different services. I know that the AF academy shows their seal I believe and so do the other service academies.
