Does anyone have a Graco Mosaic travel system? How do you find it?

I want a lightweight travel system that’ll save me having to get a stroller too, we just don’t have the space for both. From looking around the Graco mosaic looks a promsing option but I want to check noone’s had any bad experience with it before I purchase it!

We had this travel system. It looked great in the store. I loved the Green Tea colour, the tri-fold stroller and the safety ratings on the Snugride car seat … There are many cons though! There is no suspension and the wheels are cheap plastic so going over sidewalks and pavement or tiles in the mall is super noisy, basically it only glides over carpet and the smoothest of hard surfaces. Also, the wheels wear out VERY quickly. I only used ours on weekends and after three months there was a lot of wear apparent on them. I found this picture from a reviewer on Amazon, it is amazing how badly the wheels on his stroller have worn after only 9 months of use!

For being such a small size the stroller is incredibly heavy! And their tri-fold design is terrible. The wheels fold right into the canopy, so if they are dusty or muddy, then so is the sunshade. Also, after a month or so the stroller will start squeaking, especially when you are folding and unfolding it. You will have to spray it with silicone spray at least every week to stop this, and the spray has to sit on the stroller parts overnight before the squeaking stops. After three months, if the stroller sat folded for more than 3 days then it was almost impossible to open again!

The sun canopy is useless, it is way too short and high to do anything unless the sun is directly above you. It works okay when the car seat is clipped in though.

The stroller seat itself is cheap and poorly designed and so is the harness. The seat has two big metal bars running up it, which your baby will be lying on, not very comfortable.

As soon as my daughter was too tall for the Snugride car seat I sold them together to someone else!

If you need a small stroller then I would get a naked stroller frame to snap the car seat into and then once they outgrow the infant seat you can sell the frame and car seat together and buy an umbrella stroller. Or look into the new Quinny Zapp. We have one now for our 11 month old and really like it. I have tried Peg perego, Graco, Evenflo and I decided to keep the Quinny stroller. The new one that has 4 wheels can be used with an infant seat too (only Maxi Cosi ones) you just zip off the fabric seat and attach the car seat anchors.
