Car Seat question…nice answers only please ♥?
I bought my son the Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 car seat this afternoon. I bought it because I thought it was a nice looking chair and loved how it was 3 in 1. However my son is only 8 1/2 months old and is still in the rear facing position. Can you position the Nautilus backwards? My son is basically as big as a 1 year old. He’s over 20 lbs and is tall like me. Can I face him forward in the middle?
No, the Nautilus is a forward facing only seat. It’s a 3 in 1 because it goes from forward facing harness, to high back booster, to low back booster.
Also, the MINIMUM forward facing limits are 20lbs AND 1 year, again minimum. Your child is 5times safer rear facing and the AAP recommends rear facing until at least 2 and up to the maximum height or weight limit of a convertible car seat.
