Forehead Thermometer

Whats the best thermometer to use on a 5 month old baby?
I have a digital in ear thermometer
a digital underarm/oral thermometer
and a forehead thermometer.
I was told that the in ear thermometer is innacurate in such small babies and the underarm would be more accurate.
Is this true?
Any advice from mums would be great! Thanks!!
A rectal thermometer is more accurate because it reads core temperature. Ear thermometers for babies under 6 months don’t work correctly, also if there is a suspicion of an ear infection it doesn’t work correctly. As for using one under the arm it is harder to get a correct temp because of the moving they will do. Use a rectal thermometer with a little bit of vaseline and it will work to give you the correct temp. As for a mouth thermometer in any child especially if they had something to drink in the few minutes before you are not going to get a correct temp either.
