What to make for baby out of flannel?
I have some flannel with baby patterns on it and I don’t know what to make. I don’t wanna make blankets, burp cloths, hats or booties out of it… But there’s not much else left.
Anyone have any ideas?
You have covered the gamut for baby products.
Make a tote for mom or grandma with a clear plastic outside pocket for a picture of baby.
Have you sewn with flannel before?
Some flannels shrink quite a bit and it is always a good this to test this.
Cut a 2′ x 2′ square from the fabric and wash in hot water and dry in the dryer with some towels.
Measure the size of the square before and after to see if the fabric changed in size. If it did, you want to wash and dry the fabric before cutting out the pattern.
Flannel is very fuzzy and should be washed and dryer dried before use by an infant.
