Re-useable diaper pail liner?
So with cloth diapers I wash every 3-4 days. The smell is horrible after 1 day. I have tried oils from whole foods, baking soda, dryer sheets, ferbreeze and baby powder but the smell seems to seep out of the pail (yes this pail has a lid and the diapers are in a trash bag
and so I was wondering if instead of using a trash bag, should I use a re-useable liner? Do they help keep the smell in? Where can I get one that isnt too expensive and not online?
Any other advice on this would be appreciated too :]
i am not washing daily. i would only be washing 4 diapers then. dumb. and yes the pail is clean. i just washed it out
no diaper service around me, plus i use one size pockets so i couldnt use a diaper service anyway
I live in upper south florida and there is a big cloth diapering store in miami. i am heading down there next week so i will c what i find. and thanks for the washing advice. i think its because i do not rinse them out
Yup, problem is the trash bag!
That’s why I finally invested in some PUL and stitched myself a travel wetbag and a home wetbag (reusable pail liner). I’d found that when I was uptown even using the scented bags the nappies reeked of urine. After switching over to the PUL wetbag the smell disappeared.
PUL fabric wetbags don’t keep the smell in, what they do is allow the fabric to breathe and the smell to dissipate rather than brewing.
