Soften Crib sheets?
I got the cotton crib sheets that match the baby’s nursery set. I have washed them 2 times with Dreft on warm wash/ cold rinse and gentle tumble dry – but they still aren’t soft and comfy. I know you are not supposed to use fabric softener because it can be irritating to newborn skin…. does anyone know what I can do to softren up these sheets?
Try putting 1/2 cup of baking soda in the water.
Cotton gets softer as the fibers break, which is why you jeans are most comfortable right before they wear out. If you’re not averse to them fading a bit, you might try putting them on a rougher tumble in the dryer, or even washing them on a hot cycle once.
