Are Pack ‘n Plays Good for Sleeping?
My husband and I are expecting our first baby any day now, and we just purchased a Chicco Pack ‘n Play (the “Lullaby” model). Our thought was that this would be a good substitute for a bassinet, as we plan to have baby sleep in our room for the first couple of months or so. I know that we need to get a portable crib pad for added support and comfort, but I’m wondering if this will be good for sleeping through the night. But it seemed more practical than getting a bassinet because we’ll be able to use it for multiple things. Have any of you used a pack ‘n play in this way, and how did you like it?
Our second son slept in the bassinet portion of our pack-n-play until he was 3 months. At that point we moved him to his crib in his room. He slept just fine in it. And it was much more convenient than moving the crib downstairs and back upstairs as few months later like we did with our first son.
