Change Pacifier

When and how should I wean the pacifier from my 14 month old?
My daugter is 14 months old and LOVES her pacifier. She doesn’t need it much during the day, but if she sees it, it’s in her mouth. She also uses it to sleep. We are expecting another child in November and will be moving our daughter into a new bed (still a crib) and new room with her older sister. I am really concerned about all these changes, but I would like to be rid of the pacifier before the baby comes. Should I wean her from the binky now, then move her to a new room? Or, move her first and let her continue to have her beloved binky and then wean her from it later before the baby comes. Any suggestions? I’m afraid the longer I wait the harder it will be.
Personally, I would move her into a new bed now and keep the pacifier. It’s her safety net, and the closer you do those two HUGE changes, the harder time she’ll have getting used to everything.
My advice is to hold off a few years. When she’s about a year or two older, make a decision TOGETHER. A lot of kids wean themselves off of the pacifier and those who don’t handle the switch better when the parent AND child decide together.
For me, my parents had a talk with me when I was 4 and we decided that on Christmas I would throw away the pacifier. On Christmas morning I threw it away all by myself and never looked back.
