Can you take your laptop onto a navy carrier?
Is it allowed to take electronics like laptops onto carriers or is it frowned upon. I have joined the navy and will be on the carrier.
Absolutely. As others have pointed out, you have to have the cords / charger tested and cleared by the ET’s of Engineering, AND you can not connect to the Internet or to the ships network.
I dragged my laptop along back in 92-99 before they were as prevalent.
You WILL want to keep a CLOSE eye on it at all times though… as some of us crusty old salts would tell you:
“You LOST it because you left it out and INVITED someone to take it there Shipmate!!”
