does anyone know how to get that black border around a picture?
to replicate the look of a filed out negative carrier
is it done in photoshop of on the camera?
i mean for a digital photo not film, fhotoface
In Photoshop.
Create a new layer. Select All. Go to Edit and choose Stroke.
Select Black as your color and set the size to 250 (that’s the largest Stroke you can make).
Hit OK. If the border is too thick, change the size until you get what you want.

On these I actually did two Strokes. The first was white at about 200. the second was black, at 185. This creates the effect of a carved matte.
