why were our tax dollars used to give a loan to jpm chase to purchase bear stearns?

Everything the government spends or the Fed issues comes out of the taxpayers’ pockets. Every dollar the Fed issues comes with interest due, which the taxpayers are responsible for. That is why what the Bush administration has done amounts to taxation without representation. They have chosen to spend money that the taxpayers didn’t authorize, borrowing it from our grandchildren.
