Blue Diaper

Why do they use a blue liquid in all of those diaper and feminine hygiene advertisements?
To simulate absorbency? Wouldn’t it be more fun to use some neon green toxic ooze looking stuff?
I think they should use something red, it would be more realistic. Yuck I can’t believe I just said that!
