How to put an emblem on a fleece blanket?

for my boyfriends birthday i wanted to make him a blanket (a tie one) out of red and black fleece because he goes to UGA. i know how to go upon making the blanket, but how could i get a super G emblem on it like the “W” on this example? http://familytraditioncrafts.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/blankets.JPG would i need to cut it out myself and sew it on? or could i buy it? help!
