Blanket Cotton

What is the most durable blanket material?
My mare tore her cotton blanket apart. I put my gelding’s nylon blanket on her, since she’s clipped and he’s not, and she tore his apart too.
So what material should I get? It can’t be that heavy. This is Florida and it never gets below 30, but she’s clipped.
Also, this is a new development… I’ve owned her for two years and she’s never done anything like this. Can there be an underlying cause?
My horse practically eats cotton and nylon for breakfast. He hates to wear his jammies, but because he is gray, and we have winter, he has to wear clothing to stay sort of clean.

Denier is the key. The higher the Denier, the tougher the fabric. My winter blanket is 1200D (now 5 years old), my heavy sheet is 1600D. Anything under 800D will be shredded in 2 days with my guys.
1200D will be heavy enough to take abuse and last, but maybe too warm for warm weather wear. I have a fly sheet that is like a plastic screen door that is too warm for summer, but would be good for your area now. (yes, we have been to FL for the “season”) that I also got from Schneider’s Tack.
