Why is it not recommended that baby sleep overnight in the stroller bassinet?
It has a mattress and mattress sheet, and there is an optional bassinet stand, so I’m not sure why it’s okay for the baby to “nap” in the bassinet but not sleep in it overnight.
The bassinet in question is from the Uppababy Vista stroller.

@ Jamie- they make the stand for a reason- so that the baby can sleep in it. And a 2 week old baby isn’t going to rock the bassinet, especially if it is on the floor! Thanks for the sensationalist visual, though.
Thanks, Bren. I agree with you but for some reason, uppababy does not recommend it for overnight use. I think I will call them and find out, then update on here.
I should add, I am not planning on using the stand. I was planning on putting in on the floor along the wall. I am sort of disturbed by the idea of putting it on the floor but I don’t know that it’s safe to keep it elevated.
Why isn’t it , it looks just like a regular bassinet. If its safe to nap in it should be safe for overnight. Check with your doctor maybe he can give you a reason.
If the stand wasn’t secure and the baby could tip then it should be recalled and not used even for naps. And when a baby can sit up or roll over he shouldn’t be in it anyway.
