Bassinet Bedding

Did you have your newborn sleep in their own room, or a bassinet in your bedroom?
I’m currently 6.5 weeks pregnant with my first little nugget and super super excited. I’ve heard that putting a bassinet in your room will kill your sex life and will be hard to put the baby out when it’s more grown up, but I’ve also heard that it helps to have the baby by the bed in order to get used to hearing them cry at night.
What is the right thing to do?

My son slept in his bassinet until he was 4 months old and outgrew his bassinet. My hubby then finally made me put him in his crib. It helped me sleep knowing he was right there and I could hear him breath, etc.. I’ll probably do the same with this baby I am pregnant with now.
