where can i buy a baby monitor for deaf parents?
hi out there….my sister is profoundly deaf and about to have her first baby. this is something she is really worried about, she needs a baby monitor that would alert her to the baby crying. unfortunately she lives abroad and would not be able to buy something like this, so i would have to send it to her…but i have no clue as to where to buy one in the uk, all the sites i have seen have been american! any ideas?

A few downfalls with it, though… It’s wireless but if you have too much in the house that is wireless then it will not work. (I live in a 700 sq ft house and it won’t work from the back to the front. I use it while camping and it will work for about a mile!) Also the receiver doesn’t vibrate when it’s on the base so she may have problems keeping it charged. (You can plug it in from the receiver and not use the base but I’m not sure if it will vibrate that way either.)
I also have profound hearing loss. Take it from me – try to find a model that VIBRATES, not just the lights. Lights work great if you’re awake but those little machines aren’t going to give off enough light when you’re sleeping to wake you up.
